We would like to invite you to attend our panel on “How to Build a Career in Gerontology”. This event will be run for student and ECR members of the NSW division of the Australian Association of Gerontology who are interested in understanding how to develop their careers in gerontology by learning about panellists’ experiences.

We will include 3 panellists from a range of disciplines in gerontology to share their experiences in building their careers, as well as any tips they have for students and ECRs in a 8-10-minute talk each. This will be followed by a ~30-minute group discussion where panellists will answer attendee questions. There may also be an option for students/ECRs to enter a breakout room to connect with panellists for further discussion on career development in academia, industry, or clinical settings.

Attendees will:
Understand career pathways in academia, industry, and clinical settings.
Learn some tips on how to progress your career in gerontology.
Develop your own career pathway by taking the opportunity ask panellists questions.
