The Development of Standard 5 – Clinical Care of the strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards

The Aged Care Quality Standards have been reviewed and strengthened as a result of the recommendations of the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety. The Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care has been responsible for developing the clinical care components.

The session will outline the development of Standard 5- Clinical Care, and how it is relates to the draft Quality Standards as a whole. The session will also cover the development of guidance and resources to support implementation, which will be in close collaboration with the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission.
