Developing an ethical framework for research with ageing culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities

Report on a workshop held in Canberra on 1 November 2016

Hosted by the AAG CALD Special Interest Group in collaboration with the Federation of Ethnic Communities’ Council of Australia (FECCA) and the National Ageing Research Institute (NARI)

This report summarises the proceedings and outcomes of the AAG workshop on Developing an Ethical Framework for Research with Ageing CALD Communities held on 1 November 2016 in Canberra, in partnership with FECCA and NARI.

In response to this report, AAG, FECCA and NARI resolve to continue to work collaboratively with our partners and stakeholders to advocate for and support the right of older people from CALD backgrounds to be included in research where the outcomes of that research will be applied to them or other members of their community.
