Kendig funding round close Monday 19th of July
On behalf of the AAG Research Trust, applications for the third funding round of the Hal Kendig Research Development Program close on 19th of July 2021.
In line with Professor Kendig’s wishes, the two $20,000 grants are available to support early career researchers to improve their track record to lead to an ARC Grant or Fellowship or comparable research funding. They are designed to support a discrete research effort that provides evidence and critical thinking that furthers the interests of vulnerable older people in advanced age (with a strong emphasis on psycho-social research and quality of life).
Professor Hal Kendig was a leader and powerful influence in shaping a national and international discourse on ageing, as well as a great advocate for the needs of older people.
We’re looking for a Snr Policy & Research Officer
Part-time 0.8 EFT, fixed term contract until June 2022
AAG is seeking a Senior Policy and Research Officer. The primary purpose of the position is to develop, document and advocate for evidence-informed, multi-disciplinary and holistic, independent, collaborative, and fair policy and practice papers.
We are looking for an experienced, self-directed person with a good understanding of the key issues relating to: ageing; aged, health, disability and social services, and; the multidisciplinary workforce required to support older Australians.

Getting to know … Paul Sadler
Paul Sadler was 14 years CEO at Presbyterian Aged Care, then took a leap of faith last year and started his own consultancy, Paul Sadler Consultancy. Paul not only is an active NSW AAG Division committee member, he is helping aged care providers, governments and others working in the sector adjust to the post Aged Care Royal Commission reform environment.
