AAG Board strategic planning meeting

The AAG Board and AAG Research Trust had their two-day strategic planning meeting earlier this week in Melbourne.

Key areas of discussion included:

~ Review of the AAG Constitution and governance

~ Governance and management structure of the AAG Research Trust, including focus on fundraising

~ AAG’s policy focus from the Royal Commission into Aged Care recommendations

~ Short listing the 2022 Hot Topic

~ AAG History Project

~ MoU with the New Zealand Association of Gerontology.

It was the first time the Board had met face to face since November 2019 - it was wonderful to finally catch up in person. The AAG Board meeting saw a lively exchange of ideas, as well as opportunities to reflect on why AAG exists, what it is achieving and areas for change, and where we want to be.

Pictured above are some AAG Board Members: Marguerite Bramble, Susan Staples (new Board member), Claudia Meyer, Chris Hatherly, Anita Westera and Toni Roberts, giving the meeting the thumbs up.
