Aged Care reforms began in 2012 and continue today.

This workshop will focus on building resilience in the workplace to empower staff and clients.

Many changes have occurred in Aged Care: income testing, means testing, instigation of a national system to prioritise care, assigning packages directly to consumers, expansion of the Australian Aged Care Quality Agency and many more. Residential and community aged care providers, and their staff, have to constantly adjust to these changes. Resilience is the process of adaptation to change.

Participants will:

  • Learn more about resilience
  • Consider how you manage change in your workplace
  • Explore techniques for developing resilience in yourself and your clients
  • Develop networks for support
