Incontinence ~ Understanding Urodynamics and Multidisciplinary Management in the Elderly
Incontinence is a common problem in Australians, affecting one quarter of the population. Incontinence has been associated with mood disorders, poorer quality of life and has significant financial implications in the elderly.
The speakers in this webinar will address key developments in the investigation and management of incontinence, including the multidisciplinary approach. Furthermore interpretation of urodynamic studies will be explored.

Dr.Michael Whishaw is a consultant physician in Aged Care Medicine at Royal Melbourne Hospital. He was a founding member of the Continence Foundation of Australia (CFA) and a past National Vice-President. He works as a Consultant Physician in Aged Care Medicine at Royal Melbourne Hospital. He has been a Consultant Continence Physician for more than 30 years, currently with the RMH Royal Park Continence Service and RMH Urology Service, and with special interests in incontinence in the elderly, neurourology in adolescents and adults, and urodynamics.
Michael will focus on Understanding Urodynamics-Challenging Casesin Geriatrics
Dr Liza Lau is a Geriatrician and a Consultant for the Continence Services at Austin Health and Eastern Health, Melbourne; and a Medical Advisor on the Steering Committee for the National Bladder and Bowel Collaborative of the Continence Foundation of Australia. She will be speaking about a multidisciplinary approach to incontinence management with incontinence nursing specialist Ms.Janine Milich and physiotherapist Ms.Santha Tisseverasinghe.
