Join us for an evening of eating together and talking
about the impact of diet and nutrition in older age
Speakers include:
- Dr Diane Hosking on: “What do we know about nutrition and cognition in later life?”
- Elizabeth Low, APD on: “Who eats well? Food habits of older Australians living alone in the Australian Capital Territory”
- Dr Richard Cumpston on: “Are malnutrition and drugs harming aged care residents?”
Followed by a general discussion with audience participation on topics such as:
- the communication of risk in relation to diet risk factors
- barriers to eating well
- diet trends
The event will be held at Wollemi Ethical Store & Cafe in Braddon with plant-based finger food provided by @tanemakidesigns, including:

5:00pm – 5:30pm arrival and seating at tables
5:30pm – 6:15pm presentations
6:15pm – 7:00pm questions and discussion
Venue location details: Wollemi Ethical Store & Café, 16-18 Mort St (entry via Cooyong St), Civic/Braddon
Tickets: $20 AAG members and concession, $30 non-members, includes catered finger food
Soft drinks and barista coffee will be available for purchase
Parking: limited street parking in Civic/Braddon, otherwise the outdoor part of the Canberra Centre parking is nearby
