New Special Interest Group for 2016

The older Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Ageing Communities’ (CALD) population is ageing at a very rapid rate and there is extensive work required to ensure services, research and policy are responsive to the needs of these communities. Information sharing and collaboration is essential by researchers, policy makers, advocates and service providers to ensure services are provided in a culturally responsive manner.

Aims

The key focus of the CALD SIG will be to:

  1. Share information about research and policy initiatives in the areas of CALD older people
  2. Identify areas for further research and policy in this area
  3. Organise events to bring members together to discuss and plan emerging issues in this area
