2019 RM Gibson Research Fund
The RM Gibson Research Fund supports early career researchers, either post graduate students or within five years of graduation, in the diverse fields related to ageing in Australia and the translation of the evidence base into policy and practice.
This year up to four grants of up to $7,000 are being offered.

Only current financial AAG members may apply for a RM Gibson Research Fund award.
Once you have completed your application form (using the guidelines) submit it via our application portal which is here.
Please note that you must be a current financial AAG member and logged into your account before you can access the application portal.
We strongly recommend that you check that your AAG username and password are current and that you can access the application portal well in advance of the closing date for applications.

The research will involve collaboration with a provider of services for older people – would provision of a letter of support be required and if so, can this be in addition to the 12 pages?

We review our applicant guidelines at the conclusion of each award cycle. They are then amended to include previously unforeseen scenarios and to provide generally improved clarity. Pending that review process the above answers are for ongoing guidance. Please note that if you have already submitted an application that may be affected by any of the above answers there is no need to re-submit and your application will be assessed against the original 2019 applicant guidelines.
