Jane Hwang

Is an early career researcher in the Justice Health Research Program at the School of Population Health, UNSW Sydney. She completed her PhD in the School of Psychiatry, UNSW Sydney. Jane has expertise in ageing well in marginalised populations, and more broadly in social determinants of health and health equity. She has a broad range of mixed-methods research experience on a range of projects including: evaluating programs for reducing violent offending and reoffending, investigating accelerated ageing/frailty in Australia's growing older prisoner population, and conceptualising 'ageing well' for adults on the autism spectrum. She is an associate investigator with the UNSW Ageing Futures Institute and an associate of the UNSW Human Rights Institute. She is currently co-chair of the NSW SECG Committee, ECR rep for the NSW Division Committee, and a peer reviewer for the RM Gibson Grants.
