Ms Bridget Riggs (M.Mental Hlth, BSc(OT), BSocSc) is Clinical Lead for Cognition, Delirium and Behaviour Change, Northern Territory (NT) Health. Ms Riggs has over 20 years’ clinical experience and is passionate about culturally informed innovation to improve health care around changes of behaviour and cognition. Ms Riggs was on the Cognition and Delirium care Project, awarded the NT Chief Minister’s Award in 2019. The Project developed and implemented a new model of care and new delirium medical management guidelines. Ms Riggs chairs many NSQHS Committees across NT Health relating to Cognition and Delirium and Behaviours of Concern and on the Clinical Advisory Group. A Board member of the NT Branch of the Australian Association of Gerontology and Australasian Delirium Association, and regular contributor to Clinical Teaching, Research Forums, Policy, Governance and Quality Improvement. Ms Riggs has expertise in both Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and multicultural consumer engagement, and improving health by translating research into action.
