Fredrik Norström is an Associate Professor of Epidemiology and Biostatistics within the Department of Epidemiology and Global Health at Umeå University, Sweden. He leads the WeWorC (Work Environment and Working conditions) research group, focusing on the intersection of professional life and health outcomes. As a Principal Investigator, Dr. Norström has secured significant funding for high-impact projects, including a health economic evaluation of home care staffing (Forte, 360,000 AUD) and a critical study on the pandemic's impact on home care services (AFA Försäkringar, 600,000 AUD). His research portfolio includes extensive survey and qualitative work examining how work environments, employment security, and task distribution affect health-related quality of life. An experienced mentor and editor, he has supervised over 30 graduate theses and serves as an Associate Editor for BMC Public Health. He has authored over 66 scientific publications, contributing significantly to the fields of statistical methodology and health economic modelling
