Jenny Waycott Sub-Committee Chair I am a researcher in the interdisciplinary field of human-computer interaction. I work in the School of Computing and Information Systems, The University of Melbourne, where my research examines how to design and use technologies to provide social support in later life. In my recent work, I have examined how emerging technologies, such as virtual reality and social robots, can be used to provide social and emotional enrichment for people living in aged care homes. My ongoing projects include a collaboration with music therapists to design AI-enabled tools to support music therapy in dementia care and a collaboration with game designers to co-design digital storytelling innovations with older adults. |
