Danny is a Registered Nurse who worked as a clinician, manager and educator in mental health and clinical governance, in rural and metropolitan settings, prior to commencing an academic career in 2005. Danny holds Adjunct Professor positions with Monash University and Federation University. His research interests lie in quantitative, qualitative and mixed methods, focusing on health and aged care services and workforce, workplace aggression, mental health and well-being, and ageing research. Danny is a Distinguished Member and AAG Fellow. He has been an office bearer in three AAG Divisions since 2015 - the ACT (Treasurer), Victoria (Treasurer), Queensland (Treasurer) and now back in Victoria (Treasurer).
