AAG was deeply saddened to hear the loss of Dr Richard Lefroy who passed away aged 97 on 23 July 2016. Dr Lefroy was one of the pioneers in the development of geriatric medicine in WA and a Past President of Australian Association of Gerontology (1991 - 1995).

AAG honours the passing of Dr Richard Lefroy and the gerontology community has plenty to thank Richard as he was an innovator and passionate advocate for people living with dementia. He will be remembered as a brilliant physician, artful policy maker and energetic advocate for the care of older people who made a significant contribution that benefited many.

We extend our sincere condolences to Jennifer and the Lefroy family.

If you have not done so already and wish to pass your condolences, please email AAG and we will pass on your message.
