Following are some of the projects that the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Ageing Committee have initiated:

•    Terms of Reference for the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Ageing Committee
•     Definition of Ageing for Indigenous people
•     Setting research priorities for Aboriginal Ageing
•    Publications on Aboriginal Ageing
•    Audit of current services in health and aged care and social support for older Aboriginal people
•    Conference and workshop planning
•    Development of a data base of ATSIAC members.
